AtWork Personnel Branch Profile - Hoschton, GA
For entrepreneurs, determination is an important trait, and fortunately, AtWork Personnel owner Rosa Crescenti has proven time and again that she is determined to be successful. Although Crescenti’s AtWork office is located in Hoschton, Georgia, she is originally from Lima in Peru where she received a degree in Mass Communication from the University of Lima. However, in 2000 she had an opportunity to immigrate legally to the United States, and she chose to make the move to prove that she could take care of herself and her son after a divorce.
Once in the United States, Crescenti worked blue collar jobs for two years but was determined to learn enough English during this time to find an office job that would provide better opportunities for her and her son. She soon gained valuable experience in areas such as sales, marketing, customer service, trade shows, etc., before she and her husband Ron Crescenti opened their AtWork Personnel office in May 2017. Ron had noticed the need for a staffing company in the Northeast Atlanta area that provided above average customer service, and with his industrial management experience and Rosa’s sales experience, an AtWork franchise seemed like a logical choice. According to Rosa, the biggest challenge associated with opening the office was the first year and a half simply learning about the business and the industry. However, the AtWork corporate system offers a comprehensive training program as well as internal support to help franchisees navigate various situations that arise in the day-to-day business after the training program ends.
Rosa’s favorite part of owning an AtWork Personnel office is being able to help people by assisting them in finding full-time employment and by coaching them on how to be more attractive when searching for job opportunities in the future. She also feels that her greatest success as an AtWork owner is that, on average, her team’s associates get hired full time but still send referrals, but she believes that the best thing her office does is “make everybody welcome and appreciated.” Despite the original challenge of learning the staffing industry, Crescenti enjoys how much she has learned through managing and working in the office and how much she gets to help other people.
